An essential-but complete- view of Bacelona city and its main points of interest.
Departing from your hotel, this chauffered city tour will show you the main points
of interest of the city that gets to combine its ancien tradition as a roman and
Medieval city with modern and lively districts and attractions.
During our tour we will drive along Passeig de Gracia to admire Gaudi's
most popular Masterpieces (Batllo's House and Mila House) besides other
interesting buildings that made Barcelona one of the capitals of modernstyle
architecture. We won't miss the most visited monument, the famous church of
La Sagrada Familia, by Gaudi too.
We will continue towards Passeig the Sant Joan, that hosted the World Fair of
1888, admiring some of the remaining facilities, such The castle of the three
dragons in the beautiful Parc de la Ciutadella, our little 'Central Park'.
The tour continues by the sea front, admiring the beautiful changes that the Old
Port undertook thanks to the Olympic Games; we will drive by the Old fishermen
district called La Barceloneta, one of the most fashionable districts nowadays
due to its vicinity to the city beaches. The sea promenade and the Olympic Port
are some of the leasure areas that Barcelona got thanks to the olympic event.
-Crossing the Eixample district, we will enjoy a Panoramic drive by Plaça d'
Espanya admiring the ancien but recently reburbished Las Arenas bullring;
La Fira de Montjuic, the traditional trade fair area built for the World Fair of
1929. We will raise the Hill of Montjuich to visit the Olympic Ring, where the
Olympic Games of 1992 took place (The Olympic Stadium, Palau Sant Jordi,
the Olympic Swimmingpools), nowadays public facilities. On our way to the
Olympic ring we will see some of the pavilions built for the World Fair of 1929,
such Poble Espanyol, Mies Van de Rohe pavillion and the magnificent MNAC
(National Museum of Art of Catalonia), originally built for hosting the royal
family during the World Fair. We will pass by Miró Fondation and stop at a nice
siteseeing to enjoy a beautiful view of the city .
The tour will finish in Plaça Catalunya, the city center, where you can continue
discovering the charms of the city on your own having a walk in Las Ramblas
and the Old city.
